Different Route Options
When adding a route the only options are Bike and Hike. I would love to see an option for Motorcycle as I do lots of Adventure BDR.

Add waypoints while recording
Drop waypoints in real time while recording an activity. Mark campsites, trail junctions, hazards, water crossings, or anything worth remembering. Quickly add notes and keep moving, so your maps capture the full story of where you actually went.

Request or suggested edits to maps
a feature that would allow someone to recommend or suggest an edit to a public map that is set to view only. This would allow people to easily add a trail to an area that already has a detailed map without having to create an entire map themselves.

Edit route midway
Currently, you can extend a route from the beginning or end, but you cannot easily edit the map from the middle while snapping it to roads/trails.

CarPlay / Android Auto for Off-Road Navigation
I find the best way to navigate when driving off-road or on remote fire roads is just to have a quality topo map up on a screen on my car dashboard. There are too many variables and unknowns with road quality and obstacles for turn-by-turn to work well, I just need it to be easy to see the topo map without having to pick up my phone.

Bearing Line and Point Elevation for Navigation
When ski touring or scrambling I generally navigate by picking a target bearing and an a stop elevation where I know to recheck the map and pick a new bearing and end elevation for the next leg. In the middle of each leg I stay on course by monitoring compass direction and elevation on my watch which makes my phone battery last a lot longer and means I stop less and cover more ground. The current compass indicator is almost invisible and as far as I can tell there’s no way to get the numeric heading value. An option that allowed the compass indicator to instead be a line drawn from the current location all the way to the edge of the screen would allow this use case by making it easy to “sight” on a distant peak or other landmark. A way to see the current degrees makes it easy to transfer this bearing to a watch or other device. It’s currently possible to long press on a point to find the elevation but this feels clunky and slow. Would be more efficient if there was an option to have this display on the main screen or a tool to get the elevation with a simple tap rather than a long press.

Adjustable 3D terrain exaggeration
Would it be possible to add terrain exaggeration in the 3d view? Some of us east coasters do not have the vertical prominence that can be seen out west and some of our hills barely show up when in 3d mode. Wondering if it could be added as a slider like opacity is for other layers?
